I'm not knockin' 3D at its current state, but I think it'll really take off when the glasses aren't required to view it. I don't know if we have the technology to do that, and if so at a reasonable cost, but the 3DS is doing some kind of 3D without glasses...
Sony is the front-runner on 3D home entertainment, so I imagine in the future they'll be the first to have glasses-less 3D televisions. I think the issue of having to wear the glasses alone, can b...
I really never liked the guys at Simraceway. They really chastised GT5P in their Forza 2/GT5P comparison review.
Not to mention just some stupid things I've noticed, like with their G27 review they didn't even play GT5P. Seriously now, the G27 was made with Playstation, and specifically gran Turismo CLEARLY in mind. They attempted to play it with Forza 3, but were disappointed by how it doesn't support the 360. (When it's actually the 360 that doesn't acce...
Killzone 2 really was a great technical achievement. I still don't know how they managed to get 32-player matches with the game running at a locked frame-rate, without having to reduce the graphical enhancements found in the singleplayer campaign.
Now just bring the damn game to console and start making some money again Sega!
Halo 3 clearly wasn't about graphics, and reach isn't either.
And no, we won't "see in sales". We will see in the quality of the respective products; like gamers, and not like fanboys. At least I would hope.
IMO, The Debriefing of MGS3... why wasn't that in there?
*The article didn't mention dynamic weather; don't forget about that
Heavy rain game of show for PS3? The game itself was great, but with a 'move' revamp, then giving the game best of show (PS3) kinda insults the quality of the other great PS3 titles that were there.
In my opinion, it show go to LBP2.
GT5 will no doubt redefine the racing genre. Even looking at it on paper, it's amount of content and level of polish is simply absurd.
Hope they have some classics thrown in. I'd love to drive a Lancia Delta Integrale Evoluzione or Toyota GT-Four '00. Legendary Rally cars...
are you suggesting the 3D tech in the nintendo 3DS is better than that of a 3D HD television?
"There’s a lot to set up – Where the Kinect is one single unit and the Wii only has a couple of things to put in place, the PlayStation Move requires several components. You’ll need the PS3 system, the Move controller, the Navigational controller, the PS3 Eye, and the proper software to read whatever you’re doing. Based on what we’ve seen, it will take the longest to put into play"
That's about one more item than setting up a game on the wii...
People will buy 3DTV's regardless. The upper class will allow the 3DTV market to become more cost-friendly to middle-class consumers. Eventually, if the product's quality has enough appeal, and gets to the right price, people will consider upgrading.
I could never understand why people would buy $500 bluray players when they came out as opposed to a PS3, but people did anyway. And bluray players can be bought for around $100 these days.
^wrong. They recreated the physics engine from Prologue. And like you said the graphics engine isn't new. It's been reworked.

For fair comparison, Killzone 3's engine isn't new; it's the killzone 2 engine finely polished. However, the engine in Crysis 2, Cryengine 3, is a new engine
I'm not against or for Kinect, but wouldn't having a Halo-Kinect game be the logical choice? Since most consumers at this point associate Halo with Xbox?
GT5 is running on a Graphics engine created back in 2007...
Ya I was gonna say Blizzard as well. Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 will set new standards when they're released.
but where's guerilla games?
The only thing I can say about your setup is you may need better RAM; it seems like a bottleneck as your other parts are very good. But assuming your Mobo cannot support faster chips, I think you're okay. (4gb at least right?)
My setup:
GTX260 Core 216 SC Ed.
Q9550 @ 2.83 ghz
6gb 1333 DDR3 ram
HAF 932 Case
I'm personally Nvidia-only, not because ATI cards aren't good (they're actually better right now, IMO), but...
Gotta agree with you there. But Blizzcom > E3
Kazunori stated post-E3 that the final number of tracks has yet to be decided.
